Priyanka and Kareena's war continues
The favored treatment offered to Kareena Kapoor over Priyanka Chopra at a recent award show offended Priyanka.
The two beautiful and talented ladies of Bollywood don’t get along with each other and the tiff between them is only increasing. Their relationship turned sour and there was always a kind of a cold war between them.
The very talented Priyanka Chopra debuted in the Bollywood film industry with the movie The Hero. She soon earned accolades for her performance in movies like Aitraaz, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Krrish, Don, What’s Your Rashee? and Kaminey to name a few. The actress recently received the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress for her beautiful and amazing role in Barfi.
Kareena on the other hand, debuted in the industry with the movie ‘Refugee’. She was a part of the Melodrama Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, the movie was a blockbuster and is one of her biggest commercial success. The lady created ripples by playing a negative role of a sex worker in the film Chameli and proved her versatile nature as an actress. She then went on with her work in movies like Dev, Omkara, Jab We Met (The actress received the Filmfare Award for ‘Best Actress’ for the role she played in this movie.). The ever beautiful and bubbly actress was also seen in the movie 3 Idiots (highest grossing Bollywood movie of all time).
Apparently, the buzz that is doing rounds in the media is that the creek between the two actresses is widening. Bebo (as Kareena is popularly known) was treated preferentially at an award ceremony. Whereas, Piggy Chops (Priyanka Chopra’s pet name) on the other hand spent her evening rehearsing for her dance. Pee Cee, as known by all was supposed to dance to the tunes of Yash Chopra’s songs. On one hand Priyanka was seen sweating out to rehearse while Kareena on the other hand came in a little before the show time. Kareena didn’t put in much effort to put up her show, not even as much as a fragment of what Priyanka did. This fumed Priyanka, making her irk.
An eye witness confirmed the same and quoted, "Priyanka, who was supposed to dance to Yash Chopra's songs, had been practicing hard since the afternoon. She had been sweating it out on the floor when, closer to the show time she noticed Kareena sailing in. This was her first public appearance post wedding, and Bebo simply breezed in and out without putting in even as much as a fraction of the effort or time that Priyanka had for the show. This irked Pee Cee to no end." Another source said "She (Priyanka) threw a fit behind closed doors, upset with the organisers with their preferential treatment. And though she was professional enough to go through the rest of the evening, she was visibly agitated. Her argument was, why a star of her stature would be expected to go through the grind of rehearsals when her contemporary is allowed to breeze in and out."
