Kareena promotes ‘Heroine’ in Dubai
Breaking new grounds has become the motto of Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor. She arrived in Dubai in new style. The sky plane carrying her and director Madhur Bhandarkar landed near a yacht. Kareena and Madhur hopped onto the yacht, which then moved to Jebel Ali Resort and Spa. The grand entry left Kareena very excited. She said, “"This is truly original and creative, and I am glad I can be a part of it.”
Speaking on it Amrita Pandey, executive director of UTV, said, “We want to match the vibe and the style of the promotion with the glitz and glamour of the film itself. We have always set a benchmark with our overseas promotions.”
Kareena interacted with fans in Dubai. She also spoke to reporters in a press conference called to promote the film. The fans were too happy to find the bubbly actress so near to them. They were seen crazily clicking away photos on the mobile and handy cams.
Kareena herself was in a cheerful mood. She is playing the role of an actress Mahi Arora in the movie Heroine. The character she portrays is desperate to keep her fledging career alive in the tinsel town. When asked if it is like that in real life too. She said to Gulf News, “I am balanced, calm and sorted. I would never take decisions that she would take as an actress.”
When asked if it reflected the life of any other star in the Bollywood. She denied and said, “It’s not about a particular individual. There are bits of all actors in here.”
While promoting her film Kareena and director Madhur Bhandarkar have also been to Shiddhivinayak Temple to seek the blessings of the almighty.
The star was also seen grooving in the grand finale of Indian Idol 6 to her hit song Halkat Jawani. Kareena looked sizzling in a Manish Malhotra orange sari and pink blouse. Her bare neck and accessories really made a style statement.
Madhur has also decided a grand party on September 21. That’s when the film is releasing and it’s also Kareena Kapoor’s birthday. They have decided to visit single screen theaters and cut cakes there. Kareena says it is Madhur’s idea and she is quite impressed by that. She said gleaming, “Madhur's idea is to have me cut birthday cakes at theatres with the masses. I am excited and looking forward to it. This will be a memorable birthday."
